Four Villages offers a variety of free programs for all ages, with a focus on seniors, newcomers, families with children, youth, and people living with chronic illness and/or disability. Programs are designed to improve whole health, for individuals, families and the community.

Some of our programs include:
For Seniors

4CATS (Four Villages & Committed Action Team for Seniors): 4CATS meets monthly to help identify the needs of seniors and advocate for the improvement of services in the community.

Wellness Group: Older adults participate in gentle exercises to stay fit. Information on health related issues and social time are part of each group session.

For Newcomers

Peer Nutrition Program: Delivered in partnership with Toronto Public Health, this culturally appropriate hands-on cooking for parents and caregivers of children six and under includes culturally hands on cooking and recipes.

Legal Clinic: Make an appointment to meet with a lawyer who specializes in family law, immigration, human rights or income security.

Programs for Families with Children

Early Years 2 (EY2): EY2 is a collaboration between three west Toronto health centres - Davenport Perth Neighbourhood Centre, Parkdale Community Health Centre and The Four Villages Community Health Centre. EY2 offers services and supports to families with children ages 2 to 6 who may be new to Canada, living on low income, isolated, concerned about the development of their children, or having difficulty accessing services.

Families Get Together: This 8 week program promotes healthy living among families with children 8 to 10 years old. Activities include weekly games, exercises, tips on healthy eating and a cooking class.

Healthy Women Healthy Babies: This is a support and education program for low income pregnant women and new mothers. Meet other moms, learn about nutrition, pregnancy, child development, parenting and get information and resources in a relaxing and friendly atmosphere. .

Programs for Youth

4 Youth Program: This after school program is open to youth ages 12 to 18 and features exciting activities and engaging discussions on various practical issues.

Beats, Rhymes & Life: A hip-hop music program that gives youth the opportunity to express themselves while learning about important social issues that affect their lives.

Programs for People with Chronic Illness/Disability

Getting On With Life & Its Challenges: This is a mental health support and skill development program. A steering committee works to develop, plan, and organize workshops for the community. Join us to learn, discuss, develop skills, build friendships and share information.

Let's Talk About Arthritis: In partnership with The Arthritis Society, this 6-week arthritis self-management program will help you manage your arthritis and improve your quality of life. Topics include medications, exercise, pain management, and nutrition.
